Fitting and assembly

You chose the kitchen. We fit all of it, and prepare what the showroom does not.

A well-fitted IKEA or Ixina kitchen is worth an expensive one fitted badly. The difference shows in aligned doors, a sealed worktop, and a socket that sits where you actually cook.

Kitchen carcasses levelled, spirit level on top, before the worktop

What a showroom does not do

The showroom designs, manufactures and delivers. Sometimes it fits the carcasses. But it does not move the waste pipe, run a circuit for the oven, redo the tiles behind the old kitchen or make good the wall. That work is ours, and it happens before delivery.

So we come with the showroom's plan. We check the measurements on site, because no wall in a Brussels house is ever quite straight. We mark the position of every supply, every socket, every waste. And on delivery day, everything is ready.

The assembly, in order

The carcasses, screwed to the wall and levelled with a laser, because doors only line up if the carcasses do. The worktop, cut to size, with the cut-outs for the sink and hob, sealed with silicone against the wall. The appliances built in and connected: oven, hob, dishwasher, fridge, extractor. The splashback fitted after the worktop. Doors and drawers adjusted, handles fitted, plinths clipped on. Then the clean.

A 3 to 4 metre IKEA METOD kitchen takes two to three days with the connections. A showroom kitchen with tall units and an island, three to five.

What we check before starting

That the units delivered match the plan. That the worktop was ordered to the right measurements, or is to be cut on site. That the appliances fit the recesses. That the extractor has an outlet to the outside or that we plan the core drilling. That the electrical panel can take the load of an induction hob. These five checks avoid 90% of the bad surprises of fitting day.

What it costs

Fitting only, for a kitchen you supply, with the connections, is priced between 85 and 140 € per linear metre on the Belgian market, so 1,200 to 3,000 € for a 3 to 5 metre kitchen. With the room prepared (strip-out, services, walls), expect 3,500 to 6,500 € for a medium kitchen. Indicative ranges, excl. VAT: the free written quote gives the price after the visit.

Questions

What we get asked.

How much does fitting an IKEA kitchen cost in Brussels?

Between 1,500 and 3,000 € excl. VAT for assembling and connecting a 3 to 4 metre kitchen, depending on tall units, island and worktop. If the room needs preparing, strip-out, services, walls, expect 3,500 to 6,500 € in all. The written quote is free.

Do you also fit Ixina, Schmidt, Èggo kitchens?

Yes, every brand, and joiners' kitchens too. We work from the showroom's plan, prepare the room to its measurements, and are there on delivery day. If the showroom fits the carcasses itself, we do everything else and the connections.

Does my worktop arrive cut, or do you cut it?

Laminate and wood are cut on site, with the cut-outs for the sink and hob. Quartz, Dekton and stone are cut in a workshop from a template taken once the carcasses are in: allow one to two weeks between fitting the units and fitting the worktop. We tell you in the schedule.

What happens if a part is missing or a door is damaged?

We fit everything that is there, note what is missing with the references, and come back to fit the part when it arrives. That is part of the fitting, not charged extra.
